Chris Norton

Veteran Liaison

Christopher "Patches" Norton is a Retired Air Force 20 year and 100% Service Connected Disabled Veteran.  His service included extensive world travel and special duty assignments working in Air Force Special Operations, Logistics, Contracting, Research and Development, and Acquisitions.  After Retiring from the Air Force Chris was hand selected to be the Lead Super Guppy Loadmaster for NASA Johnson Space Center and the new U.S. Space Program Constellation (renamed Orion).  Today Chris is Retired and dedicates his time to helping fellow Veterans understand and navigate their way back into the Civilian Community.

As a long time friend and fellow Operation Desert Storm Veteran of AFDS President, Stephen Seeley, Christopher has agreed to come aboard as the Veteran and Military Liaison. Christopher and Stephen remained close throughout their 25 year friendship and often talked about helping their fellow brother or sister upon their return from serving their country HONORABLY. We have devised a plan to create an environment that will give Veterans some resources to possibly get a job, get training in a field that actually saves life and property and also some help finding resources available to the Veterans upon their return that would not be easy to locate on their own. Christopher’s schooling and military experience has given him a unique ability to have navigated some of the areas where resources for him have been difficult to get due to the confusion of the system. Some of his credentials and accomplishments are he  has a Associates Degree in Applied Science from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelors of Science in Human Resources Development from Southwestern College (Graduated with Honors, Cum Laude).  Chris was also awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal by Lieutenant General Stanley A. McChrystal while serving at the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC).  The Defense Meritorious Service Medal (DMSM) is the third-highest award bestowed upon members of the United States military by the United States Department of Defense. All in All we are very proud to be working with Christopher and think that you will also have the same experience. He is a true Patriot and not to mention a pretty smart guy but don’t tell him we said that or he might want us to pay him.

Mr. Norton has graciously volunteered to get this started for us in the hopes that it will gain popularity and support and that others will follow suit and treat our Veterans with the respect that they deserve.
