We can offer many different cost effective methods to help you with your needs with respect to Fire Doors and the many issues surrounding the installation, maintenance and surveying of the openings.
PRE-CON
We can assist you on the Pre-Con phase and help define a project’s needs with compliancy or asses a potential property for budget concerns to bring the existing openings into compliance and how much that would cost. This will help determine the exact scope of work and the minimum requirements that need to be met. We can also get ahead of the requirement for a field re-certification and have it scheduled so it’s not a last minute issue that requires expedite fees. This will serve many purposes but most important you will have a defined scope and with our expertise in this area it will save time and money.
CONSULTING OF REPAIRS
We can offer consulting for the repair if the client wants to use their own personnel to complete the repairs or if your existing repair company personnel is busy we can facilitate a bid from a qualified fire door repair specialist to complete the repairs and if not defining the scope in the pre-con phase will make it very easy to bid out. Not all issues need complete replacement of all components for compliancy and having the knowledge and long standing relationships with the manufacturers and listing agencies we have the ability to offer some cost effective solutions to help offer alternatives that will benefit a tight budget situation.
FIRE DOOR SURVEYS
We utilize Certified Fire Door Inspectors (CFDI) for Annual Fire Door Surveyors (AFDS) that do our Fire Door Surveys. CFDI personnel have an accredited credential and in addition AFDS also offers proprietary software which allows the person taking the survey to manage all aspects of the data during the life of the building. This software has the ability to budget for repairs and print out reports that show Compliant and Non-Compliant issues. It also includes Field re-certification costs. We have discussed this with other entities and we offer a program that could train your own personnel to become CFDI and license the software to you so you can run the program and survey your own fire doors. With the accredited credential and the survey application it gives the AHJ the peace of mind and a tracking device. This is because the survey app. requires a credential to run. The system captures the inspector of the door so that accountability is established from the beginning.
